About Green Neighbors Network
Building stronger communities through nature, learning and connection.
Founded in 2025, Green Neighbors Network is a Pennsylvania-based nonprofit dedicated to environmental stewardship, education and volunteerism. Our work brings neighbors, children, adults, families, schools, civic organizations and local partners together around practical projects that make communities healthier and more sustainable.

The Garden
Our community garden at 288 Frederick Street in Kingston is being developed as a free outdoor space for growing, learning, conservation, recreation and connection.

Students learn by planting, tending and harvesting while exploring where food comes from and how healthy ecosystems work.

Pollinators & Native Habitat
Bee, butterfly and native plant education helps visitors understand biodiversity and the role pollinators play in our environment.

Parks & Recreation Cleanups
Volunteers help care for shared public spaces through litter removal, cleanup events and neighborhood beautification with local parks and recreation partners.

Recycling & TerraCycle
Our recycling work includes participation in TerraCycle’s Cigarette Waste Recycling Program, planned community collection points and education about hard-to-recycle waste.

Green Neighbors Network is building hands-on programming for adults and families as well as children. Gardening, cooking and preserving, pollinators, native plants, sustainability, recycling and practical garden-to-table skills are all part of the kind of community learning we want to grow.
You do not need gardening experience to participate. Come learn something useful, meet neighbors and try something new.

Art in the Garden
A fence turned into a community canvas.
The fence surrounding the garden has become part of the experience itself. Local artists and community members helped transform ordinary fence panels into colorful pieces inspired by flowers, pollinators, nature and the neighborhood.
Each painted panel adds personality to the garden while showing what can happen when creativity and environmental stewardship come together. The artwork makes the space feel welcoming, gives local talent a place to be seen and turns the garden into something people can enjoy even before they step through the gate.
As the garden continues to grow, we hope the fence will continue to grow with it, with new artwork, new voices and new stories added over time.
The garden is not only a place to grow food and plants. It is also a place to grow creativity, pride and connection.

Jenny Lynn School Garden
Our school garden partnership with Jenny Lynn gives students hands-on opportunities to experience the full growing cycle, from planting seeds and caring for plants to harvesting food and discovering the insects, pollinators and ecosystems that make a garden work.
The goal is simple: make environmental learning tangible, memorable and fun.
Learning beyond the classroom
Garden activities can reinforce science, nutrition, responsibility, sustainability and teamwork while giving children direct experience with the natural world.
